All of the same principles regarding physical and mental wholeness are the exact same principles as your rightstanding with God through Christ. If you're TRYING TO be healed, you've completely fallen from grace! Hebrews 1:3 (KJV), as an example: "when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high." Saying you're trying to get healed is like saying you're trying to get righteousness. You can read Hebrews, because of what Isaiah says, as saying "when he had by himself purged our sicknesses & diseases, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high!"
Most of you would choke at the thought of someone TRYING TO ATTAIN TO 2Corinthians 5:21 regarding being the righteousness of God in Christ, yet healing is the same settled matter of the finished work of the Cross. Hebrews 10:2 (KJV) says: "the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins." Well, "the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of trying to get healed" because it was settled at the Cross. You're not the sick trying to get healed. You're the healed defending your turf from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).
I was having an issue with my body a little while ago and I yelled out loud: "BY HIS STRIPES I WAS HEALED, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I REFUSE TO SURRENDER THAT GROUND THAT WAS SUCCESSFULLY TAKEN AT THE CROSS! THIS IS MINE AND I REFUSE TO EVER LET GO OF THE HEALING THAT LORD JESUS PAID A PRECIOUS PRICE FOR ME TO HAVE! I'M NOT SURRENDERING IT TO THE DEVIL, NOR TO ANYTHING ELSE, NOR TO ANY FLESHLY WHININESS THAT WOULD TRY TO INSERT ITSELF INTO MY THINKING WITH THE FLESH TRYING TO ASSERT IT DOESN'T FEEL HEALED! MY HEALING IS GROUND THAT WAS SUCCESSFULLY TAKEN AT THE CROSS AND I REFUSE TO EVER SURRENDER IT, IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!"
Do you see the difference in the mentality? It's not a "trying to get," but defending ground that was already successfully taken by Christ Jesus and refusing to budge an inch in the Devil's favor, staying submitted to the finished work of the Cross, resisting the Devil and demanding he flee with his symptoms, since all of mine were nailed to the Cross, very painfully, in the flesh and soul, and even in the Spirit of Christ Jesus while He was there! Healing is YOURS already and you're simply defending your turf. You're not living in denial of your body acting up under the pressure of some circumstance. You're denying it's right to have the healing that was bought for you with the precious Broken Body, Shed Blood, and Tormented Spirit and Soul of Christ Jesus.
Your healing is sacred territory beyond the realm of your feeling better and being able to surf the internet without any pain or anguish! There's more to it than that! Isaiah 53:5 says the chastisement needful to obtain Shalom/Wholeness/Prosperity for us was upon Him. The Amplified Bible says with the stripes that wounded Him we were healed and made whole. Isaiah 53:4,5,10 says He was made sick with your sicknesses and diseases on the Cross. Deuteronomy 28:61 and quite a few other verses in Deuteronomy 28 list absolutely every single sickness and disease that mankind has ever encountered or will ever encounter as a part of the curse of the law. Galatians 3:13 says Christ HAS redeemed us from all of that! Romans 11:17; Ephesians 2:11-19; 3:6 say that you're heir of the exact same provisions of redemption from the penalties listed in Deuteronomy 28 for not having hearkened diligently to the voice of the Lord your God.
Your healing is a part of your living in the reality of your righteousness with Christ Jesus. It's not "Promised Land" that you're trying to take! It's never been a part of the "Promised Land" of either the Old Testament or the New Testament! It's settled as a Covenantal reality that you're merely defending when you're confessing the Word! The attitude is completely different than TRYING TO make something happen with your thanksgiving and stand of faith on the Written Word for a healing that's already Covenantally a finished reality! You're refusing to forfeit something that's been yours from the very moment you embraced the Lordship of Christ Jesus (Romans 10:8-10; 2Corinthians 5:17); something that was settled on the Cross. You're not trying to gain one victory in this life that didn't already burst out of the veins and Broken flesh of the Son of God!!
By His stripes you WERE healed! (1Peter 2:24) That's not talking about being put in right standing with God, because Ephesians describes your sad state prior to embracing the Lordship of Jesus as being spiritually dead, not sick (Ephesians 2:5). It's your body that was needing someone to come bare it's loads and that's now needing you to refuse to forfeit something that's been YOURS this whole time! Our confessions of faith before the High Priestly ministry of Christ Jesus are merely about defending territory that He already took for each of us!
You're in the process of refusing and repudiating circumstantial evidence that's trying to make what He did on the Cross into a total lie where your particular life and your particular testimony is concerned! You're defending the honour of your King of Kings and Lord of Lords; you're coming to the defense of your Lord, according to Judges 5:23, and overcoming by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony (Revelation 12:11; 1John 5:5). This is the keeping of the commandments of God that 1John and the Gospel of John are talking about. Not a bunch of don'ts or rules, but keeping the commandments of God on your circumstances and the reality of your situation that was purchased for you on the Cross, that's outlined for you in your fellowship in His sufferings by many a Scripture that tells you what area of your deliverance is based upon what historical fact of the Cross. You're confessing to your body and before all of the Creation in the heavens and earth "the good confession"; the good confession before whatever is trying to be YOUR Pilate in this situation where your body is concerned!
You're not trying to win any victories, you're merely on patrol, being a faithful watchman in protecting all of these treasures that were acquired for you at the Cross! You're being a faithful steward of the mysteries of God in the only way you, Scripturally, could be! You're calling that body of yours everything the Holy Spirit has called your body as a result of the Covenantal cuts in the Body of Lord Jesus for every aspect of your life! This is how you're presenting your body to God as a living sacrifice, according to Romans 12:1-3 and Romans 6:13: you're presenting yourself to God as alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness to God, because sickness shall no longer have dominion over you because you're not awaiting His going to the Cross, which is what being under the law would imply in Romans, 2Corinthians, and Galatians. You're rejoicing in all that His Cross does mean to your physical body and refusing to surrender one millimeter of ground that was successfully taken by the Cross.
You're not lying or trying to negotiate God into doing anything for you that He didn't already do, you're not trespassing His Sovereignty. You'd be violating His Sovereignty if you refused to walk in what's already been done. The wisdom that's from above, where Christ sits at God's right hand, is without partiality and without hypocrisy, according to the book of James. You're not a hypocrite for standing on your Covenant and refusing to submit to what your body's fighting off. You'd be a hypocrite to claim to be a believer and then you don't believe it over some silly something your body's defenses are being attacked with! You're fighting back by refusing to allow the enemy to take any ground that's already yours in Christ Jesus, including the wholeness of your body! You're walking by faith and not by sight, unless anything your body is going through is more real to you than the stripes on Jesus' back that Covenanted to you your healing for as long as God exists!
You're not trying to make healing happen. You're refusing any other Covenantal reality! You're insisting your Covenant is with Christ Jesus and not with death and sheol, in Isaiah, or the law of sin and death, in Romans. You're honouring the Blood by which you've been sanctified and the Body that was broken for you at the Cross. If simply defending ground that Christ Jesus has already given to you as His joint-heir makes you so-called "name it, claim it; blab it, grab it," then so be it! Your attitude is that it's better to obey God rather than those persecutors that don't understand the Covenantal system that you're operating by and refusing to negotiate with the forces of darkness that are wanting to smear the Gospel every way they can by trying to make it look as though Christ wasn't faithful in your particular case! Your physical body is holy and undefiled, according to 1Corinthians, and you're refusing to give up one inch of ground where your physical wholeness is concerned that was purchased for you by the torments Christ endured!
You're being a good steward of God's temple by refusing sickness and disease one millimeter of ground in your life! You're laboring to enter into His rest, according to Hebrews and you're ministering to the Lord that what He did for that body of yours means something to you, you don't take it lightly, and you won't surrender the wholeness of it to anything that's trying to break the Covenant your physical body has with His crucified Body for your physical wholeness. You're honouring your Blood-Brother that the book of Hebrews says you have! You're rejoicing in your God for a healing you've had all of these years, since you first embraced the Lordship of Christ Jesus and started embracing all that that meant for the reality of your situation according to the Scriptures! You're defending it with the Word of your testimony, not trying to get Christ to die again for your physical body or trying to make Him do something outside of what He's already done! You're honouring the God Who has honoured you with your physical body and with Covenantal healing that's been yours ever since you said "yes" to the abundance of grace and gift of righteousness!!
In actuality, what you're doing is walking in the light as He's in the light when you're refusing to negotiate the settled reality of your bodily healing, and simply being a recipient of His Blood cleansing you of all unrighteousness when you appear to be healed afresh, or circumstantially your body's re-aligning with the work of the Cross in it's behalf! 1John 1:7 isn't just about sin. You walk in the light of your healing as He's in the light of your healing and His Blood cleanses your body of all unrighteousness. You walk in the light of your 2Corinthians 8:9 financial riches through the finished work of Christ and His Blood cleanses you of all of the unrighteousness of debts or lack that's trying to push it's way into a Covenant home! All you're doing with so-called "name it, claim it," when you're operating from a Psalm 112; Proverbs 4:20-27 heart that's established and that can't be moved from what Jesus did for you at the Cross is walking in the light of it, single-mindedly, and His Blood's bringing the reality home of what's been yours all of this time; His will is being done for you on earth as nonnegotiably as the spiritual reality you were refusing to turn loose of! Colossians 1:20 says He's made peace/prosperity by the Blood of His Cross. If your body were acting up, you wouldn't have peace if your healing wasn't as certain as your righteousness in Christ, but since it is, you're simply rejoicing in expectation of the glory, walking in the light of your deliverance, and His Blood's making real in you the reality of your "nothing missing, nothing broken" (i.e. Shalom) existence!
