Lord Jesus, in celebration, thanksgiving, obedience to the Scriptures, and as a partaker of Your wisdom and resurrection life, I receive with my faith the New Testament commemoration and fellowship in Your sufferings today with this Bread and Cup, thanking You because in You, I now have the victory forever.
As Melchezedek brought the Bread and Wine to Abram in Genesis, celebrating his victory over all of his enemies and his inheritance of all things from God, Lord Jesus, You likewise in remembering both of the deliverances that Israel had received and the salvation of the world that You were about to accomplish, You took Bread and broke it the same night You were betrayed and said, "Take, eat. This is My Body which is broken for you."
We take this Bread and eat it, thanking You for our healing and for making us financially wealthy in every single way through Your grace. You became our poverty in every single way so that we'd be made rich in every single way and we rejoice in the God Who has Visited us and Redeemed us.
In the same manner also, when You'd eaten, You took the Cup and said, "Take, drink. This is My Blood which is shed for the New Covenant."
We take this Cup and drink it, thanking You for making us Your righteousness, partakers of the divine nature, and for making us as completely innocent as You are.
We thank You for Your kindness in having suffered for us, the just for the unjust, to bring us to God. We thank You that You cannot lie and that You said that all of our needs were met according to Your riches in glory. We thank You that Your strength of character is now ours through the Gospel, and You willed to us all authority and power both in heaven and in earth through Your Name.
We thank You for giving us all of the glory, according to John 17. We thank You for filling our mouths with good things so that our youth is renewed as the eagle's, according to Psalm 103.
