Communion > By a mere child!

By Martin Cisneros

Thank You, Father, that it is vain for us to rise up early and to sit up late because You give Your beloved sleep, according to Psalm 127:2.  Thank You, Father, that we lie down in peace and prosperity and sleep, for You alone, O LORD, make us dwell in safety, according to Psalm 4:8.  Thank You, Father, that we lay down, sleep, and awoke, for the Lord sustained us, according to Psalm 3:5.  Thank You, Father, that the Messenger who talked with us came back and wakened us, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep, according to Zechariah 4:1.  Thank You, Father, for satisfying our mouths with good things so that our youth is renewed as the eagle's, according to Psalm 103.  Thank You, Father, for healing us, protecting us, being satisfied with the travail of Jesus' soul, for causing us to forget the shame of our youth, and for establishing us in righteousness far from fear, terror, and oppression, according to Isaiah chapters 53 and 54.  Thank You, Father, that goodness and mercy follow us all of the days of our lives, for leading us by the way we should go, and for leading us beside still waters, according to Psalm 23 and Isaiah 48.

Thank You, Father, that according to John 10 we know and follow the voice of the Good Shepherd, and the voice of a stranger we will not follow.  Thank You, Father, in Jesus' Name, that we live in Your Blessing, according to Ephesians 1, and therefore we can't be devoured by the stranger, according to Deuteronomy 28 and 1Peter 5.  Thank You, Father, for making Christ Jesus our wisdom, according to 1Corinthians 1:30 and His wisdom brings success, according to Ecclesiastes 10:10, therefore our ax is not dull and we don't have to use more strength to pierce between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and the thoughts and intents of the heart, according to Hebrews 4:12.  Thank You, Father, in Jesus' Name for always causing us to triumph in Christ Jesus, according to 1Corinthians 15:57, 2Corinthians 2:14, 2Timothy 3, and 2Timothy 4:18.  Thank You, Father, that, according to John 11 and Ephesians 1, we are the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in our Head, though he may die, he shall live, and whoever lives and believes in our Head shall never die.

Lord Jesus, we sup with You, according to Revelation 3:20, Remembering the Bread You blessed and broke at the Passover, and gave to us saying "This is My Body," we eat Your Body in Remembrance of You!

Lord Jesus, we thank You for drawing us to Yourself, as our Good Shepherd, according to John 10, and Remembering the Cup You gave thanks for at the Passover, saying to us "This is My Blood," we drink Your Blood in Remembrance of You!

Thank You, Father, for causing Your Spirit of wisdom to operate in us at all times, according to 1Corinthians 1, Ephesians 1, and James 1 so that we care for widows and orphans and keep ourselves unpolluted by the world, so that we're fruitful in building and building up the Body, according to Ephesians 4, so that we're fruitful in building and building up our marriages and children, according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6.  We bless our wives as being the best women on the planet, according to Proverbs 31.  Thank You, Father, that, by faith, our children honour us always so that it goes well with them and they live long in the Acts 17 land that You've given them to go and possess with the Gospel, according to Matthew 28, Mark 16, and Acts 1.  Thank You, Father, that they're all taught of the Lord and great is their peace and prosperity, according to Isaiah 54.  Father, in Jesus' Name, we rejoice always, we pray without ceasing, and we always walk in thanksgiving as the perfect will of God in Christ Jesus in everything, and we refuse to quench the Spirit despising prophecies, but we abstain from every form of evil, according to 1Thessalonians 5.  Father, we thank You, according to 1Thessalonians 4:3-8 and 1Thessalonians 5:23, for the sanctification of our bodies being the commandment of our Lord Jesus.

We thank You, Father, in everything, according to 1Thessalonians 5:18 because the Blood of Jesus completes us in each thing to do Your will, working in us what is well pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus' High Priestly ministry, according to Hebrews 13:20-21, in Jesus' Name!  Thank You, Father, for giving us richly all things to enjoy, according to 1Timothy 6:17 and 2Peter 1, so that we're thoroughly equipped for every good work, according to 2Corinthians 9, 2Timothy 3, and Hebrews 13:20-21, in Jesus' Name!  Father, in Jesus' Name, we hold fast to the sound pattern of Words that You've given us, according to Proverbs 4, John 8, Colossians 3, 2Timothy 1, 2Peter 1, 1John 2, and 2John 1.  We thank You, Father, that all of the world is saved by One Man's sufferings, and the thanksgiving, prayers, and instruction of the many that You've raised up.  Thank You, Father, that this is WHY we had to be as a child to inherit the Kingdom, according to Isaiah 11:6 and Luke 18:17, rather than as the criminals described in Romans 1, 1Timothy 1, and 2Timothy 3.  We thank You, Father, that as always, You chose to defeat every Goliath by a mere child, according to 1John 2:12-14 and Revelation 12:5.

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
