Recently Saved? > The Most Important Considerations pt 3

By Martin Cisneros

The most important considerations when getting one's life on track with God are His love for you, individually, the righteousness that's yours through Christ, His desire to exalt you above your circumstances, and His commitments to meet your physical and financial needs as your mind is stayed upon Him:

3 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 1John 3:1

9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1John 4:9-10

5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, Romans 4:5

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Corinthians 5:21

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1Peter 5:6-7

6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7

Don't be haughty, nor trust in uncertain riches but in the living God Who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 1Timothy 6:17

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1Peter 2:24

9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2Corinthians 8:9

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:16-17

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1Corinthians 1:30-31

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. Ephesians 1:7-10

5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1John 2:5-6

7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7

21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2Peter 1:3-4

23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23-24

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24

Spend a few hours over the next few days reading these verses, aloud.  They'll help you in building a good foundation for the rest of your life.  They contain many ignored, neglected, and forgotten truths that'll meet any needs and get you out of any jams you ever find yourself in.  Beyond committing them to heart over several hours of speaking them aloud, you'll obviously have to do what they say.  Yet for now, you'll be doing what they say by committing them to heart.  There's more to doing what they say than that, but having them embedded in your conscience is a necessary first step before you can take every following step that they point you towards.  These are carefully chosen to answer any question you'll ever have for the rest of your life, no matter the situation you ever find yourself in.  No matter how often you come back to this list of Scriptures and reread them out loud, for hours, they will absolutely always teach you things you didn't learn the last season you spent with them. If you want to always be a step ahead of the rest in your level of wisdom, [wise beyond your years!] you'll come back to these verses of Scripture during each season of your life and spend time with them 'til you've heard from God afresh.

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
