Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4

This is over in that area of "all things are possible to those that believe."  Time with God in His Written Word will modify your desires and adjust your priorities.  But those things that are in line with Psalm 112 and God's calling upon your life will come to pass if you'll take greater and greater delight in the Lord and His Written Word over the Bread and Cup of His Testament.  Delight in worshiping and thanking Him for all sufficiency abounding towards you in all things. Delight in Who He is.  Delight in His finished works and He'll finish your works.

This goes further than an adjustment of the chemistry of your heart so that you'd want the Lord's people in your life, His choice for your spouse, His choice for your education, vocation, house, car, plane, boat, website, clothes, jewelry, etc.  There are questions each of us have over the years that many of us forget, or abandon figuring, prematurely, that there either isn't an answer for that for this life, or we somehow deceive ourselves into believing that it may be there for the knowing in this life, but we'll always lack the opportunities necessary to know the answers.

Hearts are bothered more by questions, injustices, relationships, opportunities, and having a good name than necessarily about the next car costing $20,000 more than the previous one cost.  We live in a world where we're not only faced with choices, questions, needs, and opportunities, or the lack of them, but where people really don't like what they have, nor want anything else. In a world more vain than many of it's previous generations, the love of many isn't the only thing going cold. A lot of people have no desires, and it's not related to their income, relationships, and knowledge.

Many are just dead inside, going through the motions with no access to the tree of life, because a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.  He'll roll the stone away from the door of your heart and He'll yell for your desires to come forth.

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
