A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22
The joy of the Lord can heal anything. If you'll start standing on the promises of God's Word that cover your situation, then the streams of joy [if you're on the watch for them and ready to yield to them] will start to flow. As you yield yourself more and more to the joy of the Lord, the healing anointing will continue to strengthen and restore you from even the most impossible state of health for medical science to do anything with or about.
Joy never fails because it's roots are in love and it's the destiny of all of Creation. Joy comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The joy of the Lord is your crown. You have to be militant about not letting anything intrude upon that because when the joy of the Lord starts lighting your heart like a candle, that's your healing, deliverance, prosperity, protection, and promotion being born if you won't let it miscarry.
Verse 19 of this same chapter says "he who loves transgression loves strife."
Verse 20 says "he who has a deceitful heart finds no good."
Verse 24 says "the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth."
Verse 26 says "to punish the righteous is not good."
Verse 13 says "whoever rewards evil for good, evil will not depart from their house."
Verse 11 says "an evil person seeks only rebellion."
So this chapter diagnoses the sources of the merry heart and of the miserable heart: relationships or seeking only rebellion to God's Word; looking for all of the reasons to have no faith in what God's said this time. He says to stretch out your rod, but you don't believe the waters will part or that building this relationship on what He's said will keep that relationship as a tree of life in your life. You're seeking only rebellion, and are looking to the ends of the earth to do something other than what God's telling you to do. That will always break the spirit and begin pulling down the bones, or pillars of God's Temple in the earth.
Verse 2: A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame, and will share an inheritance among the brothers.
A wise servant of the Word of life will always have a medicinal heart in the end!
