27 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast. 28 And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord. Jeremiah 31:27-28

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray for every partner of our ministry online and for every partner of our Church, for every Christian Vegan bodybuilder, every Christian Vegan emergency food relief worker, every Christian Vegan personal trainer, every Christian Vegan fitness model, every Christian Vegan Volleyball Player, every Animal Rescuer, every Animal Trainer, every Veterinarian, every firefighter, and every preacher of the Gospel that the eyes of their understanding would be opened, that their hearts would be filled with wisdom, revelation, comprehension, and the peace of the Lord regarding all that they're to do about the holidays and the New Year that's coming up. Father, strengthen them, protect them, and cause them to shine forth as a beacon of safety and as shelter from the storms for all of their loved ones. Give them the best Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, Purim, and St. Patrick's Day that they've ever had in their lives. Lead them in being drunk in the Holy Ghost rather than on alcohol and in their sweets being the fruit of the spirit rather than candy, pastry, and everything else that would tear them down rather than build them up, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

I want to encourage everyone to spend extra time in worship and in the Written Word so that God can begin speaking with you about your Covenantal-commitments with Him for the New Year. Whether you go back and reread everything we've brought you from the Holy Spirit over the last two or three years, or immerse yourselves in audio Bibles, or read through Paul's epistles and everything from Isaiah to Malachi, or really focus in on a particular book of the Bible or subject you're restudying with a Concordance, just make sure you build yourself up spiritually at a stronger level going into the next year than the level you were at coming into this year. Perhaps some of you will just read and reread and reread something like Isaiah 54, Romans 6, 2Corinthians 4, or Hebrews chapters 5 through 7 or chapters 8 through 10. Some of you might even do a word by word restudying of the 23rd Psalm with your Concordance, even if you've done it before. Whatever you opt to do as a fresh meditation time in the Scriptures, make sure you press in with full sanctifying effort of your souls, okay?

I pray in the Name of Jesus that those who've not yet embraced the Lordship of Jesus would promptly publicly proclaim their allegiance to Christ Jesus, that they've embraced His Lordship and that they'll begin a new series of manageable habits that'll demonstrate their repentance and change in loyalties. For those who've recently done so, I pray you spend a couple of days in your nearest, really well stocked public library or Christian bookstore reading Ephesians and Colossians from every translation you can find.

For the rest of you, I pray you'd seriously consider a new habit of fasting during the Biblical Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, every year. I recently heard a Messianic Rabbi on a DVD explain that the Day is most concerned with laying a good spiritual foundation for the following 52 weeks and that it's not about sins past, but about uprooting what might try to cause you to stumble in the following 52 weeks. I had already had those kinds of days over the last couple of decades and would even use that Day for that purpose, not knowing that was part of the teachings and traditions that surround that Day. It's mentioned in Acts 27:9, pretty late in the New Testament's 1st generation of believers, and again it's only a Day out of your yearly calendar. For some of you, it'll make a lot of sense in your minds, consciences, and emotional dispositions and relationship with the Lord to begin having a fast Day according to the ancient Biblical schedule for making sure you lay a good prayerful and contemplative foundation for the following year, and perhaps others of you will set that aside, on the shelf so to speak, until you've learned more about it or come closer to hearing from God on it. That's fine. It's up to you. Just a suggestion. I'm not demanding you keep Passover, Pentecost, Rosh Ha Shannah, etc., but just thought since it was only a one day fast that some of you might accept the challenge to seek God for your future during that particular 24hr period each year!

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
