Tracts > Salvation is not to be delayed

By Martin Cisneros

Salvation is not to be delayed for all of the obvious reasons that passionate love is not to be delayed.  God loves you, has a powerfully effective plan for your life, and it's time to stop delaying your day of embracing the Lordship of Christ Jesus and submitting every following decision to the authority of God's written Word in the Bible.

Why put off the most exciting relationship you'll ever have in this life another second? It's time to stop making excuses. It's time to stop having God at the bottom of your “to do list.” Lord Jesus went through public humiliation for you in order for you to have private intimacy with God Almighty!

Nothing about tomorrow is holier than today, other than the obvious with Judgment Day.  Nothing proceeds from wisdom that you can possibly bring up about waiting another day.  It's [your] time to get things straightened out with God, with your forgiveness issues, and with beginning an entirely new walk with God, His Word, and your fellow man.

Every legitimate day of success, that's based upon principles that you can go to bed and sleep peacefully about having acted upon, comes from the Holy Spirit and God's written Word, the Bible.  I'm not a fan of the “tomorrow is promised to no one” spiel, and would rather simply say that God's got all of the beauty you'd hate to keep waiting on you. We make fools of ourselves, much too often, over those we find genuinely attractive.  God is the most attractive being in the whole universe!  If anybody deserves the clumsiness or your full audacity, it's Him!

Romans 10:9 says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord of your life, believing in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  Pray with me for a moment, based upon this Scripture and numerous others that assert that you can have clarity of knowledge of the very moment you and God started a new thing, officially:

"Father, in Jesus' Name, I want to thank You for having sent Jesus to be the Lord of my life. Thank You, Father, that He paid the ransom to free me from sin, and that He lives to bring me to You and to Your purposes for my life!  I choose to believe with my heart that You've raised Him from the dead and from this moment forward I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life in everything that pertains to my life and being. No matter my decisions that I'm faced with from this day forward, I put the Bible as first place in my life FULLY BELIEVING that as I stand accountable to You with each day of my life that each of Your promises in Your Word will remain accountable to bringing to pass every aspect of Your nature in me and I expect more and more of Your power to be operative in my life from this day forward making up the difference between what I lack and where I need to be, in Jesus' Name. Amen!"

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
