Communion > A blessed wife

By Martin Cisneros

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I bless You and thank You for having given me such a perfectly beautiful, perfectly industrious, and perfectly compatible wife for me that's everything a husband could have asked for from Proverbs 31, Ephesians 5, and 1Peter 3.  I thank You that many women are virtuous, but she excels them all; many women are beautiful, but she excels them all; many women gladden the heart of their men, but she excels them all from the top of her head to the soles of her feet, from her wholesome and edifying conversation to everything that could ever matter for every occasion that a man would ever face.  Father, I delight in her at all times and I'm always enraptured with her love.  Father, I thank You for a woman that's strong, tender, endearing, fun to be with, and that I deeply enjoy entering into Your Presence with.  On her tongue is the Proverbs 31:26 spiritual law of kindness, she opens her mouth with wisdom, and surely "many daughters have done well, but she excels them all" is my daily full-spirited cry!  She is like the merchant ships. She rises while it is still night. She's considerate and girded with strength. Her lamp does not go out by night. Her arms are strengthened and she extends her hand to the poor; she is not afraid for her household, no matter the time of year or the weather 'cause we're all covered with the Blood of Jesus. Strength and honour are her clothing, and her own works praise her in the gates!  Thank You, Father, I have drunk deeply and forgotten my poverty, according to Proverbs 31:7.  Thank You, Father, her worth is far above rubies, and I safely trust in her, according to Proverbs 31:11.  She does me good and not evil all of the days of my life, according to Proverbs 31:12.

Lord Jesus, we come before You to sup with You, according to Revelation 3:20 and Matthew 26:29.  We remember the Bread that You broke for us at the Cross, according to John 6, and we eat Your Body in Remembrance of You!

Lord Jesus, we remember the Blood that You shed to purchase us for God, according to Acts 20:28, 1Corinthians 6:19-20, and 1Peter 1:18-19, and we drink Your Blood in Remembrance of You, according to John 6 and Matthew 26.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I rejoice with the wife of my youth over the Bread and Cup of the New Testament Passover.  I thank You for my Exodus from the past and my entrance into Your fuller purpose for my life, and the Promised Land of all of Your promises for me among the nations of the world and with my wife, Mrs ___________.  I thank You, Father, for days of heaven on earth that my Lord Jesus has conquered in the behalf of, and that my wife and I have the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness and we reign in this life, according to Romans 5:17.  Thank You, Father, for our seating with You in heavenly places and that our throne is a love-seat for the two of us!  Thank You, Father, that our youth is renewed as the eagle's, our lives are redeemed from destruction, wealth and riches ARE in our houses, and we delight greatly in Your commandments because of Your grace, according to Psalm 103, Psalm 112, John 14, 1John 2, and 1John 5.  Thank You, Father, that we're blessed with faithful Abraham, we're followers of those who through faith and patience have inherited the promises, and that our faith pleases You and is world-overcoming faith!  We thank You, Father, that according to 1Corinthians 15:22 that in Christ our marriage is made alive!  Father, You didn't create man to be singular, but to be a couple, according to Genesis 1:27, and I thank You for having fully perfected the image of man, in my life, as You'd originally intended and created.  Thank You, Father, that length of days and long life belong to me and my wife and nothing will ever separate us from either Your love or one-another's love in Christ Jesus our Lord!  Thank You, Father, that together we're raising more and more people from the dead, and even our epic love story will help to define the future, in Jesus' Name! Amen!!

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
