Animals > F.A.Q. LV - LX

By Martin Cisneros

The F.A.Q.s are more fast paced with simply highlighting some of the "frequently asked questions" that I've received over the years, from different aspects of how to apply this teaching to explaining why the usage of animal slurs is "profane." Why is the term for a female dog, or another word for a "donkey" considered using profanity in society? I answer that and many other questions of conscience here.

55. Martin, I attended a leading seminary and graduated with honors. Anything approximating what you’re sharing here was considered demonic there. Was all of my schooling wrong?

Your seminary training may have been 99% accurate and only lacked this one thing. If the "rich young ruler" that came to Jesus could lack one thing, though he kept the commandments of God, then allow for the equal possibility that your seminary didn’t know everything. I’m not claiming to know everything. But I’ve been growing in certainty about this Covenant for years. All of us are learning and growing and will continue to do so until love is made perfect in our hearts.

56. Isn’t this just one more Charismatic/ Pentecostal doctrine for Christians to get their hopes up about, only to be disappointed and frustrated by it in the end?

This question sounds like it’s from a person with a lot of "I tried that and it didn’t work" quips. And yet, if it was something genuinely contained in the Scriptures, it can more accurately be said that the Word tried you and you didn’t work! I don’t know of a Charismatic/Pentecostal doctrine that has left millions or even thousands of people hopelessly devastated when you’re talking about people that allowed the Word of God to be a bit in their mouths and to govern their actions.

Millions of people have been healed, prospered, enjoyed greater fellowship with the Lord, and are growing in faith, hope, and love without measure. And a new generation of Charismatic/Pentecostal ministers are coming to the forefront that are ministering with supernatural fire from another world. If by the remotest chance this is an honest question about expectations and their fulfillment, from a philosophical perspective rather than from someone with a million criticisms that wears their feelings on their sleeves:

It’s not limited to Christianity where we have people being disappointed because of unrealistic expectations that weren’t founded in reality. People go on diet and exercise programs all of the time expecting to lose 20 or more pounds a week! And in fairness, people who’ve claimed to be Christians that weren’t in any of the Charismatic/Pentecostal circles have had their hopes dashed because of doctrines that weren’t specifically limited to the Charismatic/Pentecostal movements.

People who wouldn’t claim any camaraderie whatsoever with Pentecostals have gotten weird about the timing of the Lord’s coming, when certain things in the book of Revelation were going to happen, when Israel’s eyes would be opened to their Messiah, and countless other things. Unfulfilled expectations occur in romantic relationships, marriages, high schools and colleges, job performance evaluations and pay raises, etc.

Christ won’t trample on any life form that hasn’t yet experienced redeeming grace, just to meet some type of time-table in relation to coming to a New Heavens and New Earth or to get to His ultimate goal of delivering up the Kingdom to the Father in 1Corinthians 15:28. Through the Seed of Abraham, all of the families of the earth have to be blessed!

57. Do you believe that children should be taught this?

Of course I do. Children are often the most easily touched by the death of an animal. And they’re in the formative years of their lives when they’re making decisions about their diets and priorities in life. I’m really surprised and disgusted that there isn’t more internet ministry to children than there is, and that what little internet ministry or regular Church ministry that there is to kids is often of the most shallow sort!

When faced with the approaching death of a loved one in the animal kingdom, children would want to know what steps that they can take to receive divine intervention and extend the life of an animal. Children live happier, less fearful and less shy lives when they know what they believe and why and know how to handle the various types of emergencies that they may face in life.

58. If Christianity went veggie, a lot of people wouldn’t come to Christ!

Christ must be judged on His own merits and not on whether or not a particular Church uses clerical robes in their services and whether or not they’re using real wine when celebrating the Lord’s Table. Actually, if Christianity went veggie, millions more would embrace the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Many people turn to either Eastern religions or to agnosticism because they view Christianity as morally inferior to a lot of other philosophies.

The Bible is superior to every other book in the world, but we have centuries of misinterpretations and mistranslations that are theologically motivated rather than motivated by a genuine regard for the Truth. And this is what’s holding back the progress of the Church from reaching more entire nations than it already has. Thankfully, many nations have publicly declared over the last 20 years that Jesus is Lord over their entire nation. And many more will publicly do so because the kingdoms of this world are becoming the kingdoms of our Lord and of His anointed and He shall reign to the ages of ages.

We’ve really got to look at the whole Bible for what it is and what it says. We need to lay aside, once and for all, all of our fears of abandoning traditions of some of the heroes of our faith if they contradict the plain meaning of the Bible and what the Holy Spirit is saying to us through it.

59. What are you going to do with all of the people who are going to pray for their pet’s healing and their pet dies anyway?

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
