To summarize what’s in my heart on the subject of my first collection of articles on the Hosea 2:18 Covenant, I could think of nothing better or more appropriate than a quote from Andrew Jukes from March 25, 1867:

"Truth spoken before its time may be not hurtful only, but even most unlawful. The Christian truth, that 'there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,' and that 'circumcision is nothing,' would surely have been unlawful, because untimely, in the Jewish age. So even now there may be many eternal verities which are beyond what St. Peter calls 'the present truth,' and which may therefore 'not be lawful for a man to utter.' But the fact that God Himself is ever opening out His truth...

I want to briefly share why I’m starting to like [and increasingly use] the Concordant Literal New Testament. I’m not using it and liking it more and more out of a naivete about perfection in the translation. And I don’t buy into the myth that it matches every single Greek word with only one English equivalent. Though the translation strives for that, what’s most important to me isn’t that the translation is precise in matching each Greek word with only one English word equivalent.

What’s important to me is the usage of the words in the Greek and the Concordant Literal’s attempt at matching the usage in the Greek with English equivalents. If a particular Greek word is used a couple of different ...

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
