Living Water 4
I've been privileged to have heard quite a bit of teaching based upon, and to have personally applied, Galatians 3:13-14 over the years and seen the Hand of the LORD move upon situations that seemed so dire. For those not familiar with the text, it says:
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Pagans in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
I was praying about a very unusual situation earlier, today, in my own life and seeking God about what to say about it, and He started pointing out to me that we've adapted, skillfully, the Word of our righteousness in Christ where Galatians 3:13 is concerned, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law...," but we never have learned how to deal any more skillfully with Galatians 3:14 than to merely receive the Genesis 12:1-3; 14:18-20 blessing.
Too many of us in confessing Galatians 3:13 where some aspect of the Deuteronomy 28 curse of the law is concerned in our lives aren't conscious enough about the Genesis 14:18-20 part of the blessing of Abraham that's ours in Christ Jesus! Over this very unusual situation, or combination of situations, that I've been trusting God in the midst of, our Lord began taking me, this morning, back over Isaiah 54, Psalm 91, and Esther 6:13, drawing my attention to the two reference to the word "fall" in Esther 6:13 in my New King James Version, as He was reminding me of Isaiah 54:14-15 and Psalm 91:7-8 and wanting me to meditate on and begin to confess what He called "The Blessing of Mordecai":
"When Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him, his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, 'If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him.'" Esther 6:13 (Cf. Esther 2:19-23; 6:1-13)
"In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed, they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake." Isaiah 54:14-15 (Cf. Isaiah 54:9-17)
"A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked." Psalm 91:7-8 (Cf. Psalm 91:1-16)
God said to me about the situation I was looking at, "I want you to expand your repertoire on Galatians 3:13-14 by saying this:
'Christ has redeemed me from the curse of Haman, having become a curse for me (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Mordecai might come upon me in Christ Jesus, that I might receive the Isaiah 54 Covenant of Peace through faith.'"
He reminded me of Romans 14 on this subject where it says, in relation to this, and He quoted these to me in reverse from the order that they appear in the chapter, so that I'd "get it" in the way that He was saying it:
Therefore let us not judge one another any longer, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way. Romans 14:13
Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4
And in this particular situation that I've been dealing with, He said “they've got spiritual laws working against them when rather than by examining you (speaking to me about me) by the Scriptures, regarding a certain situation, they started trying to find which stumbling blocks you might have more of a weakness towards stumbling over, and that is not of Me, at all, when I said you were not to put stumbling blocks or causes to fall in one another's paths, therefore I want you (He was still speaking to me about this particular situation that I've been in) to believe for the blessing of Mordecai that those who have engineered mischief around you have to fall for your sake, according to Isaiah 54, Psalm 91, and Esther 6, because if they don't fall to you, they will fall to the Devil and he will have them hanged in every area of their lives, including areas of life that they're struggling in already that they don't realize is blow back from these attempts at sifting you via stumbling blocks and causes to fall, to see if you'll fall!”
Everywhere in the Scriptures, from cover to cover, that we're told to "test all things," He was talking about by the Written Word, not by terroristic means with trying to put pressure on the forces of darkness to come against someone via mischief and a thousand other ways! He said I will see the reward of the wicked in this situation, no matter what, because I've made the Lord Who is Jesus refuge, even the Most High my dwelling place. The Psalm 91:11 angels that have charge over me in this situation have the assignment from Isaiah 54, Psalm 91, and Esther 6 to cause THEM to fall for my sake.
The only thing we're to be putting pressure upon is the Written Word of God, not the flesh, not feelings, not anything else, because our lives are lived by the faithfulness of Jesus, Who is faithful to Him that appointed Him as High Priest of our confession (Hebrews 3:1-2). We're to submit to God, resist the Devil, not our brothers, sisters, and most definitely not our spouses. We're to resist the Devil 'til he flees (James 4:6-7; 1Peter 5:8-9)! Isaiah 54 says "The God of the whole earth" Lord Jesus would be called. He just kept edifying me on that for a while this morning:
"Christ has redeemed me from the curse of Haman...that the blessing of Mordecai would come upon me in Christ Jesus, that I might receive the promise of the God of the whole earth by faith."
This "falling" must be understood, not from a perspective of falling from grace, but from "falling" or "forgetting the shame of one's youth" in Isaiah 54, as well as a falling into New Testament reconciliation and restoration to the Word of Christ. All of these provisions in the New Testament are redemptive provisions, and this is about Galatians 6:1-2 restoration. We see numerous examples of this in the 4 Gospels where they would fall at the feet of Jesus. It wasn't so He'd torture them or gloat over their demise without Him. It was related to their restoration! Universal Restoration is what we're pressing towards with the Word of Faith message, folks! Or have you not learned that yet!?
In Luke 5:8 it says that when Peter had disobeyed, using his old, worn out, worthless net, instead of casting in all of his good nets, that he fell at Jesus' feet, just wanting Jesus to go from him. Jesus said to them not to be afraid because they would catch men! Then it says in the 11th verse of the 5th chapter that they forsook all and followed Him. We have this same situation in Esther 8:15 - 9:5. It says they did what they pleased with those who hated them, and quite a lot of their enemies converted to the Biblical faith of the era!
This as a New Testament provision of the armor of light, though, works by love. 1Corinthians 14:25 says:
"And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you."
Regarding the Philippian Jailer it says, beginning in Acts 16:29:
"Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.'" Acts 16:29-31
This is a New Testament provision of the feast of Purim being Covenantally-remembered and celebrated in our midst! Again, Esther 6:13 indicates the timing of these "fall for your sake" passages in the promises of God being related to Purim; after a great threat comes a great deliverance where necessary, and in the New Testament, amplified by the power of the Cross, this brings about great restoration. Haman in the Book of Esther had 10 sons and these 10 sons symbolize the 10 days of testing that the Church in Smyrna was going to endure in Revelation 2:10:
"Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the Devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation 10 days. Be faithful until Death, and I will give you the crown of life."
This crown of life is shown to us over in the Book of Esther:
So Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honour. Esther 8:15-16.
In Revelation 3:5 it says: "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments..."
As the book of Revelation unfolds, of course, these white garments are explained to us to be fine linen. It's not an accident that we have fine linen and crowns being mentioned in the book of Revelation, just like we have in the book of Esther. These are Purim themes from the book of Esther. I know a lot of people try to associate this exclusively with either Passover or Day of Atonement with High Priest of Israel matters, but whatever truths they may partially have associated with them in those contexts, or whether it's a different understanding given to us by God when “white garments” are used in those contexts, this is the fullness of revelation of "those who've gathered together against us having to fall for our sakes" and our receiving greater glory still, (2Corinthians 3:18,) through the prophetic writings and God's prophetic calendar, because this feast, according to Esther 9, is for all of those who are ever joined to them!
The Book of Revelation isn't a revelation of Jesus' High Priestly ministry, (as in the Book of Hebrews,) but of His Kingship (though those two hats He wears aren't at odds with each other.) Certainly Christ's High Priestly garments covered in Blood in Revelation 19 are made white in Revelation 21. The same imagery is given to us in Isaiah 63 with how He purged our sins by Himself, according to Hebrews 1:3, when it says He trod the winepress of God in Isaiah 63. After His own body was mashed in crucifixion, of course, the Holy Spirit came upon believers. We're grafted into Israel, according to Romans 11 and participants in the same promises, according to Galatians 3, Ephesians 3, and elsewhere. The white garments of Revelation 3:5 are clearly linked with our crowns in the 1st three chapters of Revelation, which to me links an additional meaning from Purim into these passages, besides whatever else anyone else believes they've gotten from the passages!
No need to start trying to hunt above the two confessions of faith that I paraphrased the Scriptures with regarding our enemies coming to faith in Christ through the New Testament provision of their falling under the power of God. I'll repost them here, for your meditation, prayer, and confession of the Word time:
“Christ has redeemed me from the curse of Haman, having become a curse for me (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Mordecai might come upon me in Christ Jesus, that I might receive the Isaiah 54 Covenant of Peace through faith.”
"Christ has redeemed me from the curse of Haman...that the blessing of Mordecai would come upon me in Christ Jesus, that I might receive the promise of the God of the whole earth by faith."
This is a tremendous promise of the Scriptures related to our enemies falling under the power of God, or those even, who aren't enemies, but who have lost their way and gotten off into a lot of harmful mischief. This blessing of the ministry of righteousness that many have mistaken for the ministry of condemnation is seen over in the situation with Ananias and Sapphira in Acts chapter 5. Stricter translations of the Bible don't give the impression that they died, but when read through the ministry of reconciliation are clearly talking about a water baptism situation after they'd fallen under the power of God and been corrected by the love of God. Realizing some translations slant the text over into the direction of them having died, plus the decades, if not centuries, of emphasis upon their having died in that situation, I'll refer you over to Mark 9 where Lord Jesus, in His own Personal ministry, was thought to have killed someone:
“Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, 'He is dead.' But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.” Mark 9:26-27
In Genesis 15:12-13a, we read:
“Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram...”
This is clearly an example of someone being overcome by the power of God. Another example of this is in 1Kings 8:10-12:
“And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD. Then Solomon spoke: 'The LORD said He would dwell in the dark cloud.'”
I'm not saying these Mark 9, Genesis 15, and 1Kings 8 situations occurred at Purim, but they're examples where people were overcome by the power of God, where to casual, secular onlookers, they might have been thought in a questionable condition, physically, if they didn't readily feel what they were feeling.
We have a New Testament filled with exceedingly great and precious promises of Universal Restoration, and of a Word of Faith message that genuinely works, when it's put to work. This is a sure foundation for the Hosea 2:18 Covenant as well:
“As a beast GOES DOWN into the valley, and the Spirit of the LORD causes him to rest, so You lead Your people, to make Yourself a glorious Name.” Isaiah 63:14
“He makes me to lie down in pastures of tender grass; He leads me beside waters of rest.” Psalm 23:2
In my Bible, “green pastures” and “still waters” had reference numbers by them, alerting me to something in the center column references of my NKJV, and it said there that “pastures of tender grass,” and “waters of rest” would be a LITERAL rendering of the Hebrew.
We don't live by an Old Testament mentality where enemies falling for our sakes has to mean something utterly annihilating of them, physically, for the balance of the age and potentially for coming ages as well. Our enemies falling before us has redemptive connotations. Lord Jesus answered any other interpretation in Luke 9:54-56 for as long as the Church would ever exist:
“And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, 'Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?' But He turned and rebuked them, and said, 'You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them.' And they went to another village.”
Yet all of these promises of our enemies falling for our sakes definitely belong to us, because they're scattered among all of the other blessings and benefits of embracing His Lordship and being transfigured by His Gospel, such as in Isaiah 54 that's got Isaiah 53 (the crucifixion chapter) for an immediate context. When Jesus's very brazen enemy in Acts 9 fell to the ground, before Him, it lead to redemption for not only that man, but for countless others from then 'til now:
“Then he fell to the ground, and heard a Voice saying to him, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?'” Acts 9:4
Lord Jesus likes this kind of falling of enemies, to where then whole multitudes fall like dominos, right into line with Him, His Lordship, the Gospel, and His plan through their lives!!
In Revelation 3:9, it says: “Indeed, I will make those of the Adversarial Synagogue (or School or Church) who say they are Jews (i.e. Covenant People of God) and are not, but lie – indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.”
Talk about their restoration to God! He said He will make them come worship God with us! I stand on this every single day and have for decades at this point!
In Revelation 3:11-12, it says: “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more...”
The temple of God is clearly the Church, according to Ephesians 2:19-22:
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been build on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in Whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the spirit.”
An example of never leaving your station as a pillar in the temple of God, according to Revelation 3:11-12, is the last verse of the book of Esther, in the Hebrew text:
“For Mordecai the Jew was second to King Ahasuerus, and was great among the Jews (i.e. Covenant People of God) and well received by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people and speaking prosperity to all his seed.” Esther 10:3
The regular NKJV rendering is that he's speaking peace/prosperity to all his countrymen, but I just saw something in my Center Column reference I'd never seen before. It said the literal translation is that he was speaking these things to his “seed.” It says “countrymen” should have been translated more literally and less vaguely as “seed,” though “countrymen” was understood by the translators, perhaps, because it's not in the sense of physical “seed” and limited to however many kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids he could enjoy in his mortal, physical life in this world. It's clearly talking about his having spoken prosperity to all of his seed, meaning those of us who've heard what God's Spirit is saying to the Churches in this hour about this close to God's Biblically-prophetic Hebrew calendar.
Galatians 3:29 says “and if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
If that's true, then based upon all of the above and the prophetic place of the Book of Esther in closing out God's prophetic calendar, then we could also say: “and if you are Christ's, then you are Mordecai's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” What promise? The promises I've been going over in all I've said above, plus the implicit promise regarding the reversal of the Death Decree that's alluded to in St. Paul's preaching in all of his epistles, including in 1Corinthians 15:25-26:
“For He (implicitly the Church as well) must reign till He [through the Church's proclamation of the Gospel] has put all enemies under His feet (which are in the Body rather than the Head). The last enemy that will be destroyed is Death.”
If something's threatening your life, eonially, either in terms of things the New Testament says you won't inherit the Kingdom of God if you continue in (1Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 5:19-21), or in terms of your physical well being with dangers that are ever close at hand with where you're called to minister, or in terms of financial or sickness and disease issues, these things regarding the reversal of the decree of Death and all of your enemies falling before you that I've spoken about are written to your situation, and you're just as much Covenantally the seed of Mordecai as you are the seed of Abraham, and you've got tremendous Covenantal basis for claiming your deliverance from all of these afflictions, your preservation for the Kingdom (2Timothy 4:18), and His completing in you what He began in you to the day of Christ within you fully materializing as your Covenantal expectation of glory in your situations, in your ministry, in your family, and in all that pertains to you (Philippians 1:6; Colossians 1:26-29)!
Don't let some filthy disease, poverty situation, physical or psychologically dangerous situation, or some trial of the flesh go un-reversed back upon the head of the enemies that have brought it to you (Esther 9:1, 22, 25, 27-28; Ephesians 6:7-20)! You don't wrestle against flesh and blood, and it's time in the Body of Christ for masters, or teachers, or spiritual leaders to:
“give up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.” Ephesians 6:9
Some of you wives have been threatening your husbands with some withholding of your affections or with any number of other threats, perhaps even threatening to go home to your mother if they don't give you what you want in a given matter or in several matters, and a number of you that are still practicing that are much stronger in the Lord than that and have even taught Bible school classes or helped in other ways with Churches and Parachurch ministries, and it's time for you to stop threatening the men that they're not going to have some aspect of your favor, approval, affection, or any number of other things, including your portion of the responsibilities of the home that the two of you agreed upon long ago that you'd see to.
This goes for men too, that it's time for those of you who are strong in the Word to “give up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him!” Ephesians 6:9 Stop threatening to cheat, stop threatening to leave, and stop threatening to refuse to pay the bills or any other thing that you know that in your particular situation that she's counting as much on you as she is on God about!
Stop threatening to hit, to curse, to break furniture, and stop every other type of threatening you've been doing – both of you, men and women, because these things I'm sharing here in this letter won't work in your life while you've got strife going on, because you shut down the place of angels and separate yourself from the anointing of God that's what it takes to see these various provisions of the Scriptures that I'm sharing with you come to pass! Neither of you need to be threatening each other, the children, your employers in more subtle ways, or your neighbors with things they don't understand, that it's your responsibility to spoon feed them the understanding of!
While it's good to celebrate Purim and we always advise that around here, and while there's no doubt that there's a special blessing in doing so, particularly with spending time in the Word about it, and understanding it through St. Paul's Gospel as we've been exploring it around here, at the same time, according to Colossians chapter 2, you shouldn't let yourself be robbed of these Covenantal realities, since you're the seed of Mordecai, because Colossians 2:17 says the feast is a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of the Anointed One and His Anointing.
You have Christ Jesus, now, and all 365.25 days of every year, therefore this provision is just as much yours today as it is at Purim and you can enter in, right now, this very day, by grace through faith, and declare that not only this too shall pass, (whatever your situation that's threatening your peace,) but that all of your enemies that have arisen against you have to fall for your sake, they have to declare the Lordship of Jesus, that God is with you and among you, that He has loved you, and every tongue that's risen against you in judgment has to be condemned for your sake at your word, per the Isaiah 54; Psalm 91 Covenant of Prosperity that you have in Christ Jesus as His joint-heir of the abolishment of Death (2Timothy 1:9-10) and of every enemy being made your Covenantal footstool that serves the comfort and beauty of your feet 24/7! Beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel, (Romans 10:15,) BECAUSE every enemy is under their feet (Ephesians 1:22-23)!
I hope this came out with the kind of clarity that I really wanted to share it with. I was contemplating holding back this teaching 'til January of 2013, hoping to have it in the search engines just in time for Purim of 2013 on February 24th and 25th of this next year, so that I could have the extra 8 to 9 months to edit it, pray about it, trying to fully get it said. But I got about 33% of the way through this and realized this has to go out as soon as possible, instead, in the Name of Jesus!
I am really stirred with the Isaiah 11:2-9; 1Thessalonians 3:8-13 anointings of this ministry and pray to see each of you face to face for righteous judgments of the poor in your midst, (through the proclamation of the Gospel,) for equity in the behalf of the meek of the earth, (through the proclamation of the Gospel,) for the slaying of the wicked in your midst in the very ways that I've described above so that the Scriptures are fulfilled indeed that say that “they shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea!!” Everything I've been sharing with you in this ministry letter is the international calling of this ministry, the purpose for which we've been sent, and all of the above is simply further light on the Jeremiah 31:27-28 Post-Apocalyptic Word of Faith message that we're faithful stewards of, that you're monthly intercessory and financial partners with, and that we're called to equip you to share with everyone everywhere, with clarity and all of His strength, supernatural power, wisdom, the fullness of boldness of conviction and supernatural utterance of these things!

For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:2
Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from a solid Center Column Reference Study New King James Version Bible. Where Center Column Reference alternate renderings are preferred, they're not always noted on the site at the time of their usage in a given context, if there's a discrepancy between our quotation and a NKJV that our site's visitors use that's missing the Center Column Reference notes that provide more literal renderings, alternative Hebrew and Greek manuscript variations, etc. Sometimes an "Understood Subject" from the given chapter of the Bible or the particular book of the Bible (perhaps previous chapter) is given attention to while teaching. Reading (and rereading) each book of the Bible [in it's entirety] that's being quoted from in the midst of each subject is [always] greatly encouraged for added clarity! While we're [deeply] supportive of what's understood to be orthodox Christian doctrine on all matters, we're always looking for what God's ADDITIONALLY saying to us in each subject being taught.
